My Audience Of One

My Audience Of One

A Poem by Bad bunny
"

Rewrite of a very old poem.

"

My Audience Of One

Oh I hate few things more

Yes I do so abhor

A blank sheet of stationary

Each night afore I sleep

Scrawl notions for my reap

Calling to my stationery

Offend beliefs held dear

Conclusions I mirror

Indite words contrite for your ear

Aspire my Audit voice

Grace worthy to place here

Embrace never stationary

Each mourning I awake

Assay essay my ache

Measure each line study each break

My nourishment in rhyme.

Your esteem my… desire!

For you own mine… On your stationery

I also have a notebook by the bed, to jot down sparks of inspiration that come to me during the usual tossing and turning. I can't do a whole poem this way, but all I need is a little idea to start the morning with & I'm off. I love the way your poem conveys the tug-and-pull feeling of catching these ideas & fleeting inspirations (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Goodness, brother!
This is done so well I hardly recognize it as the same piece … you've really made it sing and dance.
Smooth as warm butter; yet, with a punch that grabs the senses with excellently placed and timed inner and outer rhymes … and, what a rhythmic beat you've put it all to!
You've truly filled your blank stationery's every space to overflowing, transferring it to us all with originality and sheer poetic brilliance.

Thank you for sharing your ultimate skills, Dear Poet … love it mucho! ⁓ Richard 🍃

I relate to your words so much here, Bad bunny. I was trying to write a poem today that just didn’t go anywhere and I was just sitting there, scowling at the screen. Well said!

I have thought about using a recording device in the past hmm something to think about...
there is satisfaction in giving a old piece a fresh spin and you have remastered this mix. This poem turned out great.

Lol yes mine too
Hello Bunny, I have a notebook which sits by my bed and goes In my handbag everyday. I may not use it every day or even night, but it is there. If I don't write those ideas down when the muse strikes, then they are lost forever. I have written whole poems in my head at night and they have gone in the morning. Such a disappointment. I am a bit more disciplined nowadays. Your lines so relatable. Only poets would understand.

If there's no peace for ya, it means there's ideas filtering through, and that has got to be good.

I always think that i will remember my rhymes in the morning but I never do
