Propriety

Propriety

A Poem by Bad bunny

Propriety

Whispering waves from shallow graves

Shivering sways form bleeding gaze

Digital skies intoning cries

Creations prize dominion lies

Conduction calls upon my scrawl

Perception palls possessions halls

Conception falls confessions thrall

this is like hearing digital voices of past poets...maybe even the old Beat poets...wondering what the hell happened with all this technology...as they stare at their old manual typewriters...and remember how they not only used those but often wrote the words down with actual pens...oh, my God...handwriting to make poems...what a concept.
enjoyed this write quite a bit.

I started off with a fountain pen...then came the ballpoint...then the electric typewriter...now the computer...isn't technology wonderful...and yet I still use a pen for the rough drafts.
My pen and a small notepad are almost always the beginning of what I write.
Ideas...hmmm...just always seem to be floating around...could be a sound or a smell or a quick glimpse that triggers a thought.
Those shallow graves of inspiration produce whispering waves in the mind and lead us off in all directions.

A good write, Bunny.

Whispering waves from shallow graves, how good is that? That's often where I get my lines from. Out of the ether. Usually a one liner to get me started. There is nothing about technology that stimulates my creative juices. That:s where your lines took me Bunny. Short write but encompasses much thought.

Coming from you Kelly I take that as quite a compliment... thank you
Whispering waves from shallow graves by the discomforted conscience, the tormented gaze by the wounded hearts ...... creation prize dominion lies. The perception behind your sentiments is expansive and poignantly spellbinding, Bunny.

One day I will write something with a single meaning and then I will wrest my pen for good:)

I hope that day is far far away from now.
dear bad bunny... our digital age gives us,
perchance, a time to dream and reminisce all
that has transpired. to rise above the norm...
and reform. A time to look beneath the earth
and rejoice in Nature and rebirth. A golden pen
to reap our words, and a scythe to reap the wheat.
truly, Pat

A little different voice for you. I like when we branch out and express our words in a new way. All these changes in the world have has not made mankind better. It seems to give birth to new neurosis.
Totally unique I liked it.

Yes, a day with a book is fast becoming a foriegn concept.
"Perception palls possessions halls

Conception falls confessions thrall"

This looks like the present day propriety to me! Well, could have been the case in the past as well, I wouldn't know.
But again, I am in awe of your ability to say so much without using more than a few words. Your words hop like a bunny, painting canvases in their projectile. :)

P.S. - What exactly is that image?

“Conduction calls upon my scrawl”- brilliant, and doesn’t it just? Bad Bunny you have voiced so much and so deeply here. We are bombarded by electronic stimuli, our synapses discharging with artificially induced seizure activity - all the time. In the midst of it, sometimes, we create, conceive. You capture this manic state of being so perfectly with your pulsing, deftly rhyming and cadenced staccato lines in this amazing poem. One line more profound and frenetic than the next- double firing thoughts in each line. Only you could write like this. Excellent perception, insight and write!
