Him. i saw Him. weeks ago. i'm trying to convince myself i wasn't dreaming, but i just don't know.

i saw you.

 

i encircled you with my eyes,

i clung to you with my gaze,

my skin itched and burned.

 

i shook.

 

i ran to you and drew you close

and stayed there.

 

words trembled

like they were being shaken, too.

 

knife-thin lines and shattering walls.

 

i saw you, i heard you, i felt you.

 

but i've had just as vivid dreams.

just like this.

Not horrible. Good. Relatable. It makes me feel really sad and lonely... because you're right: Dreams and reality are both vivid in the same sense.
