See if you can guess what I'm driving at here...

Global Warming will raise the levels of the sea.

. I do not agree.

We must help the homeless and donate more than 50p

. I do not agree

Anybody should be able to afford their own degree.

. I do not agree

Our country should be home to more than just you and me

. I do not agree

Those who love their religion, we should just let them be

. I do not agree

Love is love, regardless of sexuality

. I do not agree

Help must be sent to those suffering under an evil political decree

. I do not agree

Employers should not care about the race of the interviewee

. I do not agree

How about we listen, truly listen, to the pleas of the refugee? 

. I do not agree

No-one should lie buried under war's debris.

. I do not agree

We are meant to show the world what it means to be free

. I do not agree

Humanity should love itself unconditionally

. I do not agree

Maybe you could just simply take the time to actually listen to me?

. No. Aren't you listening? I. Do. Not. Agree.

It takes courage to write what you have. One might expect a bit of backlash, but I doubt it.
I like your message and how you've constructed it.
About our situation today, all we have to do is look around us. Do we like what we see. Are our current policies working for or against us. I fear the latter.

Thank you! Yes I have been expecting a variety of responses, but it says a lot that those who write, share a similar outlook to me.
I agree, observing the world quietly for a while teaches us a lot more than arguing with literally anyone who disagrees with our own views.

This is an excellent dialogue between one who cares and one who refuses to care or even listen. Very original form and great rhyme and flow-punches out each couplet well. In a world of ignorance, intolerance, greed and belief in "alternative facts", this is becoming the pervasive "normal". We cannot afford to sit by and allow it. Your poem gives voice to the problem.
