Good Boy

Good Boy

A Poem by Dominik D. Ravens
"

To him, life was a toy.

"

Charlie was a good boy.

His mother loved him dearly.

She kissed his head,

And away to bed,

He would smile so sincerely.

Daisy was a good daughter,

Her father knew her well.

He kissed her head,

And away to bed,

And at midnight chimed a bell.

Billie was a good brother.

His sister held his hand.

She kissed his head,

And away to bed,

He dreamt of another land.

Susan was a bad mother.

She loved her son to death.

She kissed his head,

And away to bed,

She sighed her final breath.

Lukas was a bad father.

He knew his daughter well.

He kissed her head,

And away to bed,

Down the stairs he fell.

Lily was a bad sister.

She held her brother’s hand.

She kissed his head,

And away to bed,

Away to another land.

Victor was a bad man.

He thought love was silly.

He raised his knife,

And took every life,

But he never meant to hurt Lily.

He never meant to hurt Susan,

Or Lukas,

Or Charlie,

Or Daisy,

Or Billie.

To him,

Life was a toy.

Good boy,

Victor,

Good boy.

My mind ached for something creepy, so my fingers wrote yet again of death, but not in the way that most people would want it to come to them.
