Candle Light

Candle Light

A Poem by Forbidden
"

A whisper, a flicker, I can feel it's warmth burning through my veins, A burning desire which keeps me sane. A poem for an 'Object' Challenge.

"

A whisper,

a flicker,

I can feel it's warmth burning through my veins,

A burning desire which keeps me sane.

Loving light,

warming the night,

by it's side I don't feel alone.

Burning throughout the hours,

of my lonely nights,

I find comfort,

by it's burning light.

In the dark of night,

where dreams haunt me still,

and sleep evades me,

it's warmth will keep me safe.

I know of nothing in the night,

besides it's warm,

loving light,

burning through my veins,

a desire that keeps me sane.

Flickering,

whispering,

promising warmth,

I find my self drawn like a moth.

It's warmth,

is all i need,

the candle light,

keeps me free,

from this dreams that haunt me.
