Screaming in the Silence

You can feel invisible when no one listens. No matter how cool you are, or popular, or nice, or happy- we all feel it. Nudging us in the corner of our minds. It's inescapable.

I'd like to scream but I know they won't hear me

Their ears are clogged with determination

The determination to ignore

The will to kill off my words

My message remains unheard

And my mind is screaming at me to tell them

To let them know

They're killing me slowly

Making me feel invisible

Making me vulnerable

Like a glass-See through

And breakable

But my mind keeps pushing me

Pushing

Pushing

Til I've got no way out

It's relentless

It tells me over and over

Time and time again

I'm alone

It whispers,

No one cares.
