Rage

Rage

A Poem by AlwaysForgiveNeverForget
"

There are so many people, who take some much mental abuse...day after day - I thought it would be interesting to write from that persons point of view. What it feels like really; the emotions and such

"
Hell, it seems,
has taken root inside my head.
Its bitter, stinging, fingertips
birthing all this hate and dread

I fear what I now am;
a raging beast inside a cage.
A fuming, snarling, bitter thing,
consumed by so much rage.

From all the years of torment,
all this torture aimed at me,
everyone will fear the day
this thing is at last...

set free.

This kind of reminded me of Three Days Grace's song "Animal." I thought it was interesting you set out to write from the perspective you described, and I believe you did well with it. Your words are formed in a simple structure that allows them to powerfully stand out on their own without any detractors. Also, the contrast with the last little part with the rest of the poem is clever. Very nice writing.

A very powerful poem! Each descriptive sentence collectively created a dark and angry atmosphere. The last three lines seemed to linger and left an impression in my mind. Great write!
