Dark Disease

Dark Disease

A Poem by Forgotten

You treat me like a parasite,
A blood sucking leech within my own abode,
You think you have the right to call me irresponsible?
Take the cancer ridden fumes from your mouth,
Then you can look down on me!
How dare you treat me like dirt,
When the vermin is crawling under your own flesh,
You want to treat me like I'm a lesser being?
Then so be it!
I'll let the disease argue my case in the future.

Look at your frail body,
Destroyed by your own stupidity,
Crushed because your will power is but naught!
Speaking to me with coarse verses?
Wipe the tar from your cracked lips first,
See that?
Your body is losing the battle,
I'm irresponsible you say?
Look at yourself before you say it to me,
I told you the science,
I told you the facts,
You didn't listen so look who's laughing now.

This felt like a purging of sorts...a beautiful purging. I find poetry that digs deep into the emotional wellspring the best kind. I feel your words and your images. I feel your depth and your clarity as if they were little pebbles I can hold in my hands. Well written and well shared.

Than only two things lacking are a smart slap across the face and a shot of Jack. I liked this.

Wow...talk about getting the bitterness out. You did an awesome job of it. I actually felt your pain. It is not often I read words that give me such pause to think.

Thanks

Oh my... so much loathing, and anger. Resentment. A final backlash from years of mistreatment. I get the impression of a child taking care of their abusive aging parent.

Great. I love the way you placed your anger to lines, sine it helps for you to vent whatever was ailing you. As a fellow writer, I am amazed by the way you placed words prosperously. (:
