Country Boy

Country Boy

A Poem by Forgotten

Azure skies bestow upon me it's delight,
The bewilderment of child eyes stare back,
Symphonies of the free and weathered,
Travel like the autumn flow through dew grass,
And in turn knocks against the children of parchment,
Gentle and tranquil at it's core,
I cannot resist the call of the country,
For at heart I am country born.

Upon arcane trails I walk,
No path needed nor destination to reach,
Only wrap myself in it's glow,
Engulfed in mystery of it's enchanted essence,
Feeling the life of the wooden citizens cleanse me,
As the breath of the mother whips through my hair,
Warm and tender,
Whistling your song of the skies.

Lost I am not,
Though I do not know direction,
In this land...the land of azure skies,
No-one is lost,
Just waiting to be found,
I am a boy of the country.

Wooden citizens..a nice description of the forest..
A country boy is a good thing when the townies are all flashed up in darkness.

Very nicely done.
