When all is said and doneA Poem by Forgotten
I have ventured far and wide,
Seen the world a thousand times over, I have heard songs of the world sung, And have heard words of passion spoken unto me, but when all is said and done, I have not seen a beauty as divine, As the smile on your face when I returned. I have read the words of poets, And I have spoken them time and time again, I have watched the clock tick, Simply to pass the time, I conquered the worlds obstacles, And trodden my fears before me, But no accomplishment I acquire, Will match the journey with you. The moon has risen and fallen, The sun it's brother has too, Through night and day, My path ever determined, To promise I will always, Return back to you.
