Love of the Unconditional Sort

Love of the Unconditional Sort

A Poem by Foxx Falcon
"

A poem of the sort of love which is forgotten, but not uncommon

"

Once it was unspoken
Came the gazes to cross, and hearts were bound
The silent energy surged forth and threatened with torture
The lover who did not surrender

Two parts of one whole,
In need of one another,
Uncertain the name of such a connection
Through the darkness, beyond the confines of death
It moved with might

Seen across the world
Even now it moves all living things still,
Tethering them to one another beneath what is seen,
What is spoken.

Today the world spins at a faster pace,
We grow complicated in our need for evermore
The world shines with progress, made better by that which is tangible
Man turns upon his brother seeking that babble which might satisfy
With each sacrifice in the direction of that which is physical first
We give a bit of ourselves and are ultimately starved
For within each of us beats the heart of a spirit
An eternal part whose thirst and hunger
Cannot be slated by that which shines in the sun
It moves within the unseen
Requiring only that which would

Be given freely
