Pitch black,it was a freezing night mixed with rain

a night filled with blood, would filled this vampire's aim

                Nightflyer is my name

                going for the jugular  vein

Streets were nearly bare upon this dreadful night

merely a handful of victims within my sight

oh, but a main attraction caught my evil eye

and my deadly intention, that he soon would die

                for  Nightflyer am I

hunting my prey with evil eye

He staggered from the cafe and fumbled for his car key

Oh! drunkard fool was he

In one fell swoop I had him pinned

into my darkest spin of sin

                A Nightflyer has no shame

a bloodbath scene is my game

My shameless advances held him spellbound

as I drank his blood~spinning him into death's dream

thereafter leaving him spent on the bare ground

excerising my cold  and heartless calculated scheme

                Nightflyer,oh yes, yes I am

beware, be warned, or be damned!

Oh the taste of night's drunken blood

mingled with lust, sweat and love

satisfying my vampire's need

draining sweet blood as they bleed

               this Nightflyer sated to delight

by dark cool blood on a pitch black night

This... is amazing. This is perhaps one of the best stories in verse I have ever read. Simply astounding. I loved Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, and this piece brought my favorite series to mind.

I especially liked how you offset the parts told from "Nightflyer's" perspective, while the other bit was at the normal margin. I also liked the 4-2-4-2 pattern (which you kept consistent... great job).

I think italicising the entire piece added an extra bit of mystery to it.

I loved this piece. It was superb.
