Tattoo My Soul

Tattoo My Soul

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

love

"

Tattoo My Soul

Tattoo my soul with your poet's pen,
Perchance I'll want to live again.
Say sounds so softly with each line,
Whispering words of love,
Making them Mine.

Fill my heart with your poet's ink,
A cupid's cup of which I'll drink.
Reaping romance of rhymes you write
Gleefully gladens with gay delight.

Send my senses soaring blissfully high
Yes,my love must have wings to fly
Sing songs of love, that I may hear
Telling me , taunting me ,taking me there

Mark my mind with your poet's thought,
Awaken my spirit in vapors caught.
Renew and refine that I may have and see
Poetry's Picturesque Paint on me.

So Tattoo my Soul with your poet's pen
Perhaps I'll want to love again.

Oh, I deleted one of my reviews and they both disappeared. Soo sorry.

I know I recall writing that this is absolutely wonderful. There's not a word of criticism I could give.

The metre is fine, the phrases beautifull created, the verses flow...

'Mark my mind with your poet's thought,
Awaken my spirit in vapors caught.
Renew and refine that I may have and see
Poetry's Picturesque Paint on me.'

And as for : 'Tattoo my soul with your poet's pen,; that is what words, the perfect words can do, etch a permanent mark for always.

Thank you, thank you for sharing such a great piece of writing.

Thanks so very much.
The flow of this poem is just so mesmerizing.

'Mark my mind with your poet's thought,
Awaken my spirit in vapors caught.
Renew and refine that I may have and see
Poetry's Picturesque Paint on me.'

The whole poem is just so beautifully written but those lines stuck out the most to me. Your phrasing choices were wonderful.

A lovely piece. Well done.

As if "Tattoo my Soul with your poet's pen" wasn't enough, you came up with "Poetry's Picturesque Paint on me". Those are two awesome lines!

Many thanks for reviewing, Roland, glad you enjoyed this ;
such a nice call for love...to be tattooed by the pen, with free verse or rhyme? as long as love is in the lines!

the designs are wonderful...cupid's cup a chance to overflow with ink.

Wow Fran, this is beautifully written. The words, "tattoo my soul" are so deep and feel so personal to the reader. This could sit beside some of the best poems we studied in literature class in school.
