Life's Stage

Life's Stage

A Poem by Fran Marie

 All the world's a stage

and winds breathe cooler each day

and each , his part plays

Some grab the limelight

hey! those are my sacred things!

What such thing! is greed

'til sudden stillness deems

thou performance complete

 take thy final bow

Hands go right through me

 like ghosts and walls fluidly

lifts my soul upward

The player sings a song

on the end of the world then

 exits life's stage

A great poem! I like the reality of it all...the acceptance of our mortality and the changing of roles throughout life...

A lovely piece :D

Hey Fran Life is a stage, we all play parts, often changing roles at time. Great expression in this piece, Three act in a play three acts in life. Everyone had to take that final bow. Well written, the metaphor is great. Life's stage. Well done and quite entertaining.
