My Mind,My Heart

My Mind,My Heart

A Poem by Fran Marie

My mind
tells me
what I should do
But then
my heart
seems to over rule
and my mind knows
I should
turn you away
but my heart
wants you to stay

Such mixed emotions
pull at my soul
'tis when I feel
out of control

I cant seem
to arrive at
an agreeable plan
a firm decision
which my heart
understands
It's as if
my mind
sees clearly
what is best
but
my heart
just won't let it rest.

Such mixed emotions
is what I feel
not knowing
which is right
which is real.

This is so true.

The two hardly ever agree. Its as if our minds can see clearly the pain that lies ahead. Our mind sees clearly the heartache we will experience. But our hearts ... our hearts simply see the moment; the feeling of love that feels right, that feels real. Our heart sees clearly the happiness we are experiencing.

i'm not to the stage of love yet, but i'll think of this when i am, the battle. its a great piece, shallow flow thats deceiving for the amount of emotion you've placed in these words. beautiful piece.
