Touch of Madness

Touch of Madness

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

Italian sonnet

"

Completely spellbound by your loving charm

my delicate soul belonged to just you

Like a moth to a flame that flies into

fascination's fire; love's four-alarm

You! my touch of madness which knew no harm

excited this dull heart to vivid hue

and changed my dark skies to azure blue

'til the gods took you into heaven's arm

                           ~*~

O' what torture of life! I'd rather die

than live without your gentle love complete

and leave tears for weeping willows to cry

now this touch of madness, 'tis bitter-sweet

and burning mem'ries line a lonely sky

as each day, engraved vows 'pon heart repeat

I have been to the place in your picture and in your words....if only in my dreams or prehaps you took me there by holding me spellbound with the way you sketched on paper....

Maddness not quite the way I was thinking, but this piece is still quite good. Very well done.
