`Carnival of Fears`

`Carnival of Fears`

Welcome to the carnival of fears

The sound of madness echoes through your ears

Demonic clowns will greet you at the flaming gates

Each ghostly ride will become alive and will decide your fate

Refreshments are gruesome and rather tasty fried hearts and boiled brains

Strap yourself into our electric chair and watch our new 3d attraction called the theatre of pain

Monsters host all the games for you to play if you win you’ll stay alive

Spinning the body parts on the wheel of death let’s see if are lucky enough to survive

Round and round it goes, do you feel lucky today?

You don't stand a chance in hell, because it's the way we play

Chuck a la-chuck a lie, sticks a needle in your eye

Don’t break the oath or else you will die

Once in our ghoulish domain you have vowed to play true

No matter what grotesque things we may put you through

Step right up to our freak-a-zoid machine for a makeover delight

A metal claw will carve you a monstrous face of fright

Venture through the house of mirrors to see your new reflection

If you come out we'll reward you with a cyanide confection

Um yum yum -twiddle dum drink some fresh-blood lemonade

We’ll skin you alive to make a juicy red lampshade

Frankenstein our friendly fiend ride will put the screws to you

He’ll wound you up like jack-in-the- box and stuff you in there too

The puppet master pulls your strings; he's such a playful ghoul

This painted ride in porcelain white will stiffen you up tight with glue

Another ride sure to please and squeeze the life right from your soul

Try our carousel of long lost dreams it's a hellish-hissing -snake pit bowl

Monsters and hideous bane yes we have it all in the carnival of fears

You’ll not leave but only grieve in this deadly nightmare of tears

Hell will break open as the zombie bearded fat lady sings

Forming around the carnival of hell a big flaming fiery ring

The devil laughs out as madness bleeds out of your ears

Welcome to damnation this is the carnival of fears!!

This is more like a poem written to frighten nursery children. I exactly didn't feel the 'fear' or 'horror' on it. But I must say, the usage of words is pretty awesome. Especially in places like "Once in our ghoulish domain you have vowed to play true" and "The devil laughs out as madness bleeds out of your ears". Also, the imagery is vivid. Everything is almost perfect, expect that I didn't get the 'horror' feel. A kudos for the collaboration :) If it's not much to ask I've posted a poem called 'Farewell, my lucid dream' (An intended collaboration of 12 poets' words). Please read it carefully and leave your words there in the review. I'll add them if they suit the flow. Thanks and keep writing.

That was a bit fun, yet unusual to read... I feel like I'm reading the inspired piece for / from the B movies (kinda like "Army Of Darkness" in some ways)... Also, it kinda remind me the album of this old heavy metal group, "Dangerous Toys: Hellacious Acres" but in more of the devilishy fun ways...

Other than that, it sure as hell as fun to read... You two are great at teaming up... Just like the old saying; "Two Minds Are Better Than One"...

A very blood soaked bloody gore filled poem that has a fun happy feel to it, the carnival part of it, I think. It was fun to read, to seeing how bloody and violent it kept getting the further along I went. Great job on this to both you and Sean.

The poem is so good. I like those scary stories and tales of mystery. The description made the photo come alive. Nothing would as fun a a real dark carnival filled with fear and test of survival. Thank you for this poem. It was outstanding.
