handsome secret bleeds 'neath skin

selling his proud soul

 

corrupt young man's sins

displays inner ugliness

with each debauched act

 

murder commitment

to hold sacred and scared truth

disfigured and aged

 

revealed in painting

plunging into death's picture

of Dorian Gray

I find the illustration alluring, I love the wood cut German expressionism look it sort of ties in really well with the beautiful poem, it's beautifully written and captures the atmosphere perfectly.

I really enjoyed this, I am a fan of Oscar Wilde and loved the original B&W film of Dorian Gray.
It's amazing how your succinctly constructed Haiku can capture so much of the intent of the book/film.
