The Shadow People

We are the shadow people, an unseen force of the night; yes we do exist
A higher life form ready to take the chosen few in sight, with death's kiss
The rest of the world waits unprepared in danger, pain and so much fear
As we the shadow people come in the dark damp night and draw ever so near
You will not see us as we really are; nor will you understand
You will do our bidding just the same according to our plan
Separation of spirits, sinners not saints are dealt the game's hand
We reign supreme, riding the winds of a higher realm
Yet if the secret is unlocked we may manifest our presence and be found
We lie in wait like a mean vicious wolf stalking a silent peaceful lamb
To destroy and condemn the human flesh and deadly sins of mortal man
Only the shadow people can shed redemption and free man's soul
In the end times when the living dead have nothing left and no control
As cries of horror and hell's fire sweep across the cold night air
We the untouchable shadow people will appear among your kind and suddenly be there
And perform powerful magic....even dark mysteries too deep for thought
Offering an alternate reality to escape the evil on earth man has so wrongfully wrought
A'las when men have no other recourse and have seen the very worst
Are in dire straits; feeling dreadfully doomed and cursed
With evil and destruction completed and everyone is needful
The final fate lies within the power of we the shadow people
We control blackness of sinners without a holiness of prayer or a godly steeple
They are the below walking dead never to succeed in the cycle of life
Treating you as dogs’ slaves our cold eyes cut through your worthless soul like a knife
We the shadow people are not good or evil but still we always come out on top
The mystery behind is chiseled upon the hollow walls our legend will never stop
Upon the selected sinners our power will hold you still
Then we hold your fate upon our invisible hands deciding if we should go in for the kill
The world soon will be in doom but will be a darken glow behind the flame
Calling out to hell these zombie like humans by each god forsaken name
Will show the decay world the unwanted faces of what we call sin
Burning the mark of death upon these disgraced lives across cursed skin
A higher life form ready to take the chosen few in sight, with death's kiss

Fran, I had to find this in your collection since you mentioned it. I am very curious about them. I have seen them on a semi-regular basis since I was a teen. One other member of my immediate family has the ability to see them too. The medium, Amy Allan, says they are not ghosts of anything that has ever been human, they are their own entity. They are here to harm us. And it is said they will attack while you sleep. Very interesting write. I enjoyed it.

A Poem by Fran Marie
Ha ha , did we have the same dream? I had a dream, which I awoke from, I started writing a book of the dream, (Shadow creatures who overpower family members, and take their lives for their own. The book is called Grimmer people. It's based on the same theory as your S-S.

Very interesting subject about these shadow people, you know how to write about unique subjects. What also stands out is that you know how to use deep/metaphorical phrases, ideas and allusions but there was so much that it partially obscured the the message that you were trying to convey: that the shadow people are ghastly and mysterious. Sometimes a little simplicity can go a long way. Otherwise, great piece Fran; I hope I don't meet any shadow people myself!
