The Siren's Song

The Siren's Song

A Poem by FWLeeds
"

This is something I wrote at a particularly low time roughly seven years ago.

"

I can’t explain just how I feel,

I’ve lost touch with all that’s real.

Days are gone, nights are one,

It’s been forever since sunshine shone.

I lie awake at night and think,

How ever could this big ship sink?

How ever did it all go wrong?

The captain heard the siren’s song.

She lured him to the deep abyss,

Blinded by ephemeral bliss.

His life and soul were washed away,

They may return, but not today.
