SpokanE

SpokanE

A Poem by Frantzou
"

A grey sky blooming above motionless clouds...

"

A grey sky blooming above motionless clouds

running and running

shedding cold flakes of snow

they fall and fall

disguising the soil with an angelic glow.

Miles and miles of witty grass

In different colors they spark

along with the sound of the wind

they dance to a beat of art.

Ohh, the sweet morning smells

filled with nature’s secret tells

carrying the bird’s delicious songs

with a melodious taste found in their shells

a breakfast our souls should inhale.

Cows, horses, and the wet reddish soil my eyes catch

as they feast on the grass along the country side
I stop to watch

with silence they chew, and chew, and chew

a Spokanite dialect you’d want to know too.

Okay, I kinda live in Spokane now since I go to school there, and it's such a beautiful place so I thought it'd be awesome to write this poem about it.
Enjoy it, I added a nice piece of music with it.
Listen to it.
Thanks for the reviews. I've been busy with school that's why I haven't been reviewing your stuff. I will soon when I get enough time. Thanks again.

This is really good (as usual)! You have such a gift for describing things you see in great poetic form. I love that about your work. I feel like I'm standing there seeing this green grass and the clouds and the cows right with you. I really liked the feel of this one. Everything about it was perfect, in my humble opinion. Very well done :) 100% from me.

This is another great poem! I felt as if I was there so much description made it surreal for me! Thanks for the trip!

This is amazingly detailed...it's literally a picture in words. This makes me want to sit on the front porch while the men are out in the field and tell a story to the little kids...haha sweet home, Spokane

Stay busy, my man. Good schooling will get you everywhere - even beyond the few reviews you might miss. This is a nice tribute to Spokane and its great outdoors - especially the birds. I have trouble with two concepts. In stanza one you have motionless clouds that are running, running; unless the sky is running and I wouldn't quite get that either. In stanza three you have a 'melodious taste found in their (the birds') shells.' Makes it sound like you (the reader) are/is eating the shells. I guess the birds could be eating the shells, but you insist in the closing line that this would be a good breakfast for us (the readers). Except for my confusion on these issues, I'd say well done.
