Home Is Now Shadow
A Poem by
Frantzou
Here I walk in the midst of your shadow.
Here I walk in the midst of your shadow
tears engulfed in flaming smoke
my bitter heart tightens, but
through the serene breeze
your love conquers...
I've walked pathless ways,
climbed everlasting hills
slept with the wolves
until dawn, I pounder the thought of
you being so close yet so far...
Perhaps heaven is a star
casting upon my soul your everlasting
love
though your spirit has lightened my way
the memories of you will always stay...

Author's Note
Upon sight I could see right through this picture. I can see someone who finally comes home to find it gone, vanished. I hope you guys like this one, and the music is just so awesome. The music adds a new element to the picture and the poem.

What drew me to this poem was the picture you have. It reminds me heavily out of Matthew McCormack's film The Road; the darkened skies, smoke, and the sheer vastness of hopeless and isolation that is portrayed. My favourite line in this poem is: "Here I walk in the midst of your shadow
tears engulfed in flaming smoke" You have a great way with expressing yourself through poetry and it works very, very well. Thank you very much for sharing

And all so dark, catastrophe, the end of the road/world..the emotions slaughtered, the tail of end of despair, love, this is amazing!
Such depth!

I loved this poem. It was interesting. The rhythm was kind of hard but I thought that was perfect because the people talks of a struggle. Great job

I like it. Very sad poem and an outstanding one. It's like hoping for something very strongly and finding out it can never be.

About
My style of writing poetry is a little different. My poems mostly inspired by photography, and music. A picture is worth a thousand words and I love find the words within the photo.
