“My new horizon”

“My new horizon”

A Poem by Fréyjä Helvití

As the leaves wondrously descend with eloquence,
Of fairness and beauty, I dreamt of thee.
My sullen vows remain upon a withering thread,
That lingers yet desires to break free.

Mourning like winter breeze of shivering plight,
Where a misty mirror sits before me,
Unspoken words revealed beauteous eyes,
Of a lady, the fairest of all you see.

Where you so carelessly betrayed,
False vows and deception you bore.
My dearest infidel, had she made to persuade
What an a*****e she had scored.

I lay in deep slumber, but not this time
Shall you invade the sweetest of my dreams,
Along the horizon, my knight in shining armor divine,
Will take me to wondrously clear streams.

Nicely done. I enjoyed the archaic feel of your word choice that was shattered by the use of more modern profanity. With that, it seems that cheating is something fate, or happenstance, has deemed I read about and discuss today.

As they say, what goes around comes around, and I'm sure that the traitor will find themselves in the narrator's shoes eventually.

This is well written and kinda spicy.

WOW. the poem is beautiful and has this old world feel and then the reality check - dropping the A$$hole in the middle of the mix.
Well done.

Your poem flows well. This could be read at a spoken word poetry session; no doubt it would be well received. Good write.

"What an a*****e she had scored"

Hmmm, what experience brought you to this? You don't have to answer of what that is, I find it funny that's all. But nice flow and beautiful work.
