Monster falls in love...

I have seized breathing, my heart doesn’t beat either.

The eyes don’t blink, the skin doesn’t age.

It would be overrated to call me alive, yet here I am.

Walking around in cold mass of flesh, stolen soul

Until someone of your kind or mine slays my head off.

I can smell your blood; hear it gush through your veins

I envy you for your warm body, your signs of aging,

I’ve observed the fear of death in lot of exuberant eyes

And I crave to have that in me, but I know I can’t!

Then came the night, on some unmanned street

While you were in a hurry on your way back home

I’d stealthily slid behind you like a shadow,

My burning urge dragged me closer to you,

You sensed my presence and panicked a natural response.

Perplexed you increased your pace, I’d let you

The faster you strode the thirstier I got.

Your speed was no match to mine, but I loved the chase.

Finally I cornered you, and into your frightened eyes I gazed.

In matter of moments you were smitten by my charm.

Your every breath screamed you belonged to me.

I wasted no time to culminated the distance between,

The ravenous me and my prey lost in stupor.

I grabbed you by your waist; pulled you closer, you surrendered.

I removed the disturbing lock of hair from your neck,

Prepared my fangs to dig into your luscious flesh.

Mmmhh! The final sniff of your aroma and then

Your grip on my shoulder intensified renouncing yourself

My obstinate overgrown canines touched your skin.

Suddenly, the time impeded, the incorrigible urge dropped.

With speed of lightning I disappeared in darkness.

Leaving you kowtowed, gathering your senses back.

A monster incapable of enduring any form of emotion,

Fell in LOVE with its prey… a woman he can never woo.

Thirty-three years since, I have watched you every night,

Perused your longing for me, but failed to say even for once,
“I Love You Too!”
