I say that I don’t love you anymore,

I’ve tried to believe it so many times before.

But I just can’t stop loving you and I say I don’t love you anymore.

I try so hard to keep you off my mind

I try to hide my feelings and leave them all behind.

I say that I don’t love you anymore.

I can’t run I can’t hide.

I’ll just have to suffer this pain inside knowing you’re here

But I can’t have you.

I say that I don’t love you anymore

I know that I must live on but I fail to understand

why there’s this feeling that tells me to try again

 and I’ve tried so many times to love someone new.

But there’s always something wrong

And my heart returns to you

I say I don’t love you anymore

My friends, they say they can see it in my eyes

But I tell them they just don’t realize

I’ve seen too many roses die on the vine.

So I say I don’t love you anymore.

But Darlin, I love you

And those Precious Lies just fill my mind.

he always told me he wasnt much of a writer...yet look at this amazing artwork!! though its sad it is about me and him, i needed to post this....i wanted to remember the love me and him had shared all those many months ago....now i stand here before you and show this amazing piece of art.

His girlfriend left him yesterday and he was devistated..he slept on it, had a dream about me and him when we were together...and he thought about how I used to write him poetry when i was in love with him....so, he wrote one for me in hopes I would take him back...unfortunately he was turned down. As sweet as the poem is, i told him I couldnt get back with him due to the previous damage he had caused my heart, and I am currently seeing someone....then he ended our conversation and said "bye"....i just hope he's not out there doing something stupid right now :'/ he's like.....like a brother to me now....i don't want anything to happen to him....especially if he's doing it to himself...

the style may be a bit choppy but its the words themselves that count the most.

This poem written by your Ex, really shows the heartbreak of a desperate person! My heart goes out to him. Their is an old addage, you never know what you truly have untill its gone. Knowing how that feels, I can only say to him, I am sorry. Their is someone out there for you and you will bounce back. Give yourself time. True love is waiting for to knock on your door, Make sure your ready to answer it. Just like I did with Hermosa. :) Just remember this. Their are people who care about you Matt, and are here for you.

This poem is terrific. Its flow and rhythm is superb, and its structure is awesome. This is a wonderful write and an excellent job.

"I’ve seen too many roses die on the vine." It's a melancholy beautiful line. Loved it. He's a great guy...Matt. Maybe, he just made a mistake back then and you weren't quick to forgive him. But this is great. The best thing is, it's pure; he's copied nothing. It's expression, Immortal Words etched into paper by blood tears.

Everyday I remind myself to forget you,
And everyday I forget this decision itself.

I really can't believe this is a poem!! It has to be written from a very very very VERY talented person. I love the heartbroken-ness in the poem, but it shows his passion for expressing his feelings throughout the poem. The love expressed through the poem bleeds right into my heart. I'm glad that you two are really close friends still, because sometimes people aren't like that after breakups. I'm also glad that you posted this because it's a beautifully crafted and written piece of writing.
