Scathing branches cuts

Woodland horrors, figure comes

Muffled scream, twig snaps

Claws of trees, twisted

Sharp darkness, mists crawls over

Hoot, cricket, silence

Racing heartbeats, fear

Living trees grab my foot, trip

Sweat, gasping air, AH!

Coolness of the night

Panic, forests scares me, flee

Eyes from shadows watch

Group of people near

Caution, ropes, fire, sacrifice

Terror, forest trapped

Huh. I did not know this was a thing - but, I suppose if there's a fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth (which has an incredibly long name that I can neither remember nor pronounce if I could), there can be a fear of forests as well. They both make some sense, actually. You've captured this experience vividly through the stream-of-consciousness structure of this poem. Nice!
