Shadow in the Light

My first poem ive written in my life

In the darkness everlasting,

Souls are lost deep in the night,

No one knows but they are passing,

Trying to make it to the light.

 

But as these souls get ever nearer,

To the light deep in the night,

They’re on watch because they fear her,

The one that’s opposite from the light.

 

They call her names that make you scared,

As you hear them you can taste,

The evil feeling called despair,

And always fear the cold embrace.
