Blowin' in the Wind (a wind blown away)

life flies in the breeze
letters of love
find themselves muddled
elov
oevl
voel
hoping to land
seeking peace

angels fight devils
devils fight back

war floods in like rain
hurricanes of torture
frighten us all

in a sky of reply
clouds of doubt float by
decisions incomplete
hidden by money
leave sad reflections

thinking back to Bob
singing his song -
answers are here

'blowin' in the wind'

now blown past
in a whirlwind of time

leaving a jangly melody
memories of hope,
freedom, peace
where a breath of air
could once have saved us
now we are too late

judgement day beckons......

This was really awesome, man. It truly reminded me of my past poem, 'Two Ghosts of the Mind.' Battling the thoughts of evil and angelic; going in and out of things, and trying to be stable in the rest of the process; hoping one day it will all just go away, and that you have finally won the huge war. Everything intertwines and comes together in this piece. Beautiful job, i must say, as well as the picture, too!

Amazing poem! I love your use of duality/give and take in this work. It paints a question in my mind of whether or not anything is truly good or evil and right or wrong, or if its all a reaction of choices!

Like the images borrowed and inspired from Dylan and the the clever inverted spelling.Good work.

With some poems, the best poems, you understand them later, and when you first read them, you shut off your brain and listen to the words like music. Love it!

You have captured the emotions in this powerful piece - I was hooked from the opening stanza. This poem pays great homage to Dylan's line.

Such an image you have created, life flying in the breeze...and the answers have blown by as if we missed our last chance. I hope it is not too late. We are headed for destruction...

The sparce writing style achieves an emptiness of tone which compliments the poem's meaning. The thematic use of this empty space, of air, of wind is almost oppressive in it's prevelance, but disturbingly relaxing. The aforementioned motif begs the reader to look deeper into the void, but like the speaker he sees nothing substantial: all is whispy and tapered like clouds in the sky. Beautiful.
