Redemption of Light

Redemption of Light

A Poem by GenMuffin7
"

A poem on darkness.

"

Baritone of black,

A bringer of light,

Opts to bring peace

And last through the night.

A timid step,

An awkward pause,

Could end it all,

Her noble cause.

The ensuing gray,

His hue of black.

An end for ends.

The dark curtain falls.

The first stanza was beautiful. Your use of alliteration, perfect to form a hypnotic kind of flow. Baritone of black had me hooked from that line forth....

This write is very impressive!
Your lines reverberate the power to strongly impact on the readers mind.

Throughout it developps a nice rhythm.

In these few words you tell so much!
Great job!

Just as Lily1111 said, I love the way you explained so much in such a short poem. The diction is simple, yet it clearly conveys your meaning.

Very nice and original. (: I love your unique use of language, particularly in the first stanza. The alliteration and repetition in the first stanza is also lovely. "Baritone of black" Love it! Great way to capture darkness in such a short poem!

I like the brevity of this, almost as is time is running out. Very sincere.
