Tis Dawn Coming

Tis Dawn Coming

A Poem by GenMuffin7
"

A poem about my biggest project.

"

Tis dawn coming,

a perilous flight,

a perilous dream,

a perilous night.

Golden memories coated with dust,

Disappointment: three souls crushed.

Their lingering defeat;

Knives to their throats.

A tender line,

    he wrote

       they wrote.

Ascending expectations, dilligently fought,

Battered and soaked in yesterdays thoughts.

Make haste.

Make haste.

Make haste.

But haste makes waste, or so we're told...

Tis dawn coming, till then, we write.

"Ascending expectations, diligently fought,
Battered and soaked in yesterdays thoughts."

Those were my favorite lines. I liked the imagery portrayed here. Nice write!

(typo at dilligently = diligently)
