Four Trees

Four Trees

A Poem by GeoffTWO
"

thoughts on a walk brought on memories.

"

Four trees frame horizon’s hill

Scots Pine in stone walled field,

Green pennants to the prevailing wind

Rise to uniform attention.

Halfway to the sea, beside the track

Where I watch pied wagtails

Fly against the breeze.

They stand with their sisters

On Gallipoli’s shore.
