A Poem by George Coombs
"

Remembering my late father

"

Here

(for Dad)

with you Dad on our country path

together yet knowing that our Mum

is also here...closer than breeze

touching my face...verdant hills

enshrine closeness of real

presence of our Mum...as we

trod the ancient and ageless path

we reach a bend...you look round

you both are close and we know

what waits around the bend...

bird song sprinkled like holy water

here memory creates the holy...

sacred life everlasting...deep

peace in the eternal now...

Thank you for taking us on this very spiritual walk with you and your late father my friend. His thoughtful and perceptive face represented in your endearing portrait, is a beautiful tribute to him. The two of you and the presence of your “Mum”, sweetly bless the “ancient and ageless path” you trod together. The lines are so eloquent, with meaningful pauses of unspoken but understood nuance. The imagery is ethereal. “Peace in the eternal now...”- yes. A serene and lovely moment shared. Thank you.
