Clean Sheets

Clean Sheets

A Poem by Geralyn Miller
"

A snapshot of memory

"

Clean sheets,

line dried------

Smelling of sunshine

and soft breezes.

Blurry memories

of good times.

Clean sheets,

billowing-----

on taut clotheslines.

Soft, green grass

and sunshine.

Clean sheets,

gentle background

for a lullaby

Sung by Mother's voice

as she hung

Clean sheets

and laughed.

Love this piece- simple statements and simple images, but powerful and easy to relate to. Wonderful word choices as well. :)

This was a winner in the "Inspire Me" contest, though I cannot yet finalize it due to the difficult with finding the button. :)
I have written a poem inspired by this, which will soon be sent to you, with a link to this as the original source of inspiration.

Nicely done, again.
