Colors Eye See

Colors Eye See

A Poem by Geralyn Miller

I was not born with racist eyes,

And no one ever changed them.

I am blessed with artist's eyes;

and see a thousand colors,

where other's see but few.

With these eyes I see

the colors that are needed

to portray all the peoples

of the Earth.

The colors are the same,

for each and everyone;

just blended by the hand of God

in differing amounts

for every varied hue.

Beautiful. Sometimes the most complicated issues we face today can be shown for what they are by simply talking about them like a child would. This is a great poem.
