Red Stained tears

Red Stained tears

A Poem by Benita-Staebell M - KindredPoet
"

I am Cherokee native American so this is about the trails of tears something that always gives me pain

"

Stained trails

of tears,

Echo in our hearts.

Wise words of

my Elders long before

me stay in my heart.

Walking the trails

of wisdom, of great

knowledge whisper

in our spirits.

And upon the mountain

tops of the creator.

Tears of Blood are

on our cheeks of our

face.

Your memories

are never fading.

You taught us to

walk tall and be

warriors of God

our maker,

To show great

honor to our

great Spirit.

we will one

day be flying,

With the Great

Eagle in the Heavens.

So we walk strong

in the LORD,

Wear the red stained

tears of our ancestors.

We will walk into battle,

Shall fear no evil

with god as our

buckler of love.

Walk in great

respect be honest

be humble and lowly.

aho Brothers and sisters

may you rest with the

spirit in the sky.

Such a beautiful poem, it makes me think of the trail of tears.
The suffering they must have gone through, being forced from all they knew.
It's very sad. You can feel it in this poem, hope and sadness.
Well done! ^^
