Silent pain and memories of friendship

Silent pain and memories of friendship

A Poem by Benita-Staebell M - KindredPoet
"

I am fine don't tell me I need help or to get advice to help with my pain it happens now in then I will write about what I want it's Therapy

"

Dead silence in

the night is all I hear.

Shards of glass fall

from my pain.

Broken accordion strings

of music never to sing

upon this aching Heart.

Trembling wind currents

play silent beauty with

the wind.

Dry your river of flowing

tears this shade of gray

will turn to colors so beautiful.

The sadness wants to

get out I can't bottle

up my hurt so crying helps.

Missing you still my

friend I hope it will get

less painful being without a sister.

The pain is like  broken

shards of glass on my Heart.

Could I look up and see

a twinkling star and see your face

Raina.

The three Musketeers the

motley crew us three felt

we could be on top of

the world with no worries.

We were giggles and

an Instrument of laughter

and Jokes.

Echoes of friendship are

in a glass globe of memories

of this silent pain I feel.

One day I will think

of the memories and you

Rania and I won't hurt  and cry.

Dedicating this to Rania my

sister and best friend will always remember

the good times we had

I'll just start by saying I know just what you mean about not wanting the comments and all that...I've lost a Dad (on March 26) and a dear friend way before their time, but you can't even talk about them positively without making people feel bad, then they feel obligated to say something supportive, so I hear you all the way on that...

Still I have to comment on the poem itself and tell you that the sense of absence is deep and poignant and palpable...as mentioned above, I relate, and the images you used to convey that feeling are perfect, especially the musical imagery and shards of glass...a most beautiful tribute...well done Benita, and well written of course.

This is a lovely tribute and reminisce to someone dearly loved. I have lost a brother so I know something of how it feels. I think the lines
"Echoes of friendship are
in a glass globe of memories
of this silent pain I feel"
describe perfectly how it's ever present but defies being defined. I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for putting into words what I cannot. Penny

It will always be our therapy, Benita, to write whatever we are feeling. But sometimes, there are moments when the words just won't come, for the heart is simply too heavy.

Bless you for your loving heart, and for sharing such a beautiful, profound memory in your life!

My best,
Kelly

There is no way to replace the missing. All the experienced lived and shred but as I read through I aslo felt that her "image" had been lifted that maybe by you offering this from the honest part of your hear you would creat a stream whereby the missing one might get to know how you feel. Sure call me an idealist but if only to pretend that life as known does not stop becuase the encasing has been lost and that the afterwards moment is not closed to listening maybe the relationship continues in thought. And what better way to celebrate than when you share that Echoes of friendship are,
in a glass globe of memories,of this silent pain I feel.

Beatifully intimate.

Thankyou Benita
