Blooming Lavender

Blooming Lavender

A Poem by GingerPocky

Many see me as a blooming lavender

Like a beautiful flower I bask

In the radiance of those who use me

Appreciating the warmth

Bringing joy to those who come across

Such a happy and helpful flower on their path

Flowers are easily trampled over and unexpectedly

I am dragged down by my own roots

The beautiful blossom reduced to a mere sprout once more

Descending into the comfort of my dark earth

Surrounded by the bitter black of my sorrows and my ideas

In the comfort of my own arms

My heart reaches out with a blooming lavender

By my own hands I offer my flowers to those who do not care for the foliage

My heart repossess my gift in an attempt to protect it

My fragile hope confiding in the bitter black once more
