The disguiseA Poem by Kevin HorsleyIt's about controlling yourself when temper flares. The disguise
A façade of calm steals over me He is being held at bay He wants release to be free to run rampant but I won’t let Him loose.
I am damaged the longer He is held He would have normally given up by now yet He hasn’t what fuels His fires of retribution?
I feel battered my ego bruised and what a good façade this is for no one has spotted my ruse externally I appear calm collected business as usual.
Inside the turmoil has dug its claws in it’s holding on for dear life and after a brief release which nearly ruined the disguise He has been contained.
He didn’t get his say and He won’t be resting very long until His words are heard outside I am cool smiling in fact inside my mind I weep with the sheer frustration of hate and love. © 2011 Kevin Horsley |
