Roots

Roots

A Poem by Gio S.P.
"

A poem for aspiring writers.

"
A collapsing star couldn't burn these words,
nor could a rainstorm damp these hands
because I am not paper and the roots I bare
cling to promises unkept by lips
that could move me to write stories

And they would live lifetimes
through the eyes and into the souls of those
who share the same pain as I do

This is so sad. It was, however, written well. Nice job.
