Verse 1: Genius

Verse 1: Genius

A Chapter by Glen Yumang Manese

Genius

Genius looked me in the eyes.
Just stares at me for a time never moved once.
Looking like a statue and writings on a wall.
Genius simply stood up walked away.

Genius is a relative concept. I believe the greatest genius probably comes from recognizing our own ignorance and our need to pursue truth; the revelation of greatness, contained in humility and servitude. It's a recurring theme among many of the wold's great prophets and teachers; Jesus; the Dali Lama; Confucius etc. But I doubt true genius ever walks away from anyone. In fact, it probably waits for us all each day as we wake hoping we notice and recognize and come to accept it and ourselves with love. At least I greatly desire that to be so.

It may take a lifetime and more to fathom genius. Genius never stagnates. It is always on the move. Because it is genius. Brilliantly said.

Thanks --- Coyote...
Genius is fleeting, as all miracles tend to be... A profound thought in so few lines.

I'll celebrate for you, no problemo :)
I'm surprised to find that you've written a free verse poem that personifies "Genius". Genius is somewhat like Serendipity trimmed with Occam’s razor. A vision that has avoided the quicksand of Murphy’s Law.
