Lost in the sea of life

9-18-12 Epic fail, I'm aware. Non the less, comments welcomed.

Trying to sleep away the pain

As I’m stuck inside a small shell

Drowning on the tears of my sorrow

 

Meat hooks rip into my skin

As I fight against the chains

Bloodying my flesh

Increasing the agony

 

Left, right

I move my arms frantically

Trying to no avail to free myself

 

Tiring out from exhaustion

My body hangs there on the meat rack

Flames engulfing my eyes

Anguish written on my face

 

The never ceasing

Ever increasing torment

Lashing my chained being

 

What is left

Nothing but the brokenness

Shattered dreams and hopes of a former life

Drifting away with every passing moment

 

Till nothing is left

Nothing but a fragment

A Fragment lost in the sea of life.

Powerful, very powerful. You paint a visceral and brutal image in the reader's mind, yet it's beautifully written, but in a twisted, dark way (which is certainly not a bad thing). Overall it's an intense read. Keep up the good work!!
