I find it amazing just how many times

I've heard these words fall from your tongue

I respond with these silly little rhymes

you think it really doesn't matter

maybe you can just walk away

pretending that this was all a game

it hurts that you can think of me this way

you think it really doesn't matter

it was so hard sometimes to see behind the vail

you hid behind to masquerade your heart

sometimes I got a real glimpse but to no avail

you think it really doesn't matter

this is so far from the truth you see

but I suppose this was the only resolution

but babydoll you are more than that to me

you see it really does matter
