Memories of a

Blissful youth we must respect,

And then turn to grow.

A simple haiku about getting to know yourself a little more before you grow up. Tell me what you think.

i love haikus, because they challenge the writer to get across a meaningful and full story in very few words. You suceeded here! this just invokes so many thoughts and images about our young lives and having to leave those as we grow up, then repeat the process. from elementary to middle school, from middle school to high school, high school to college, college to life
this is probably my favorite haiku that i've read on this site
great work

Wow!!! That was hardly a "simple haiku". That was a phenomenal senryu! Honestly, that may have been one of the best of its kind I've read in the Cafe. A condensed, profound, applicable, clever message to all us youth. Definitely one of my favorites. Thank you.

About
Everything here is pretty self-explanatory. I used to be under the display name Graci but I've kind of outgrown that name. Sorry if that's a cause of confusion. more..
