I'm not broken

I'm not broken

A Poem by Green
"

I'm not broken and I'm not looking to be saved

"

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it

And I’m not broke

Technically I may have been broken

In the past

Life doesn’t always read the ‘handle with care’ label

But I fixed myself up

Sure,

It might have been with super glue… mostly

But I healed up alright

So fine, I may have been broken

But I am not now

And I do not need to be fixed

it isn't so much what happens to us.. but what we do about it.. I believe it is our first responsibility to save ourselves.. I saw a T-shirt once.. it said "please don't turn the knobs.. I am already perfectly adjusted" I haven't always been perfectly adjusted but they are still my knobs to turned.. I like this very much..

I think we all at some point in life have to pick up our broken pieces and do the best we can at bouncing back. Nice piece. You are so right. Life doesn't always have the instructions needed for readiness. Trail and error is the stand.Great picture.

Good job with the poem. I can sense the strath of getting back from a blow you've gotten in the past.

Strength*.
I loved your poem, it reflects your strength even after enduring the broken phase in the past.

"it might have been with super glue..." Love this aspect of an object being something that fixes you.
