The Black

The Black

A Poem by GreseBardhi

With a broken brush,

I tried to paint your soul

I tried a thousand times

And failed a thousand times

Cause my memory you stole

Just your eyes

Your deep sad eyes I remember

Those eyes, colder than December

But the color I do not have

And there is no demon, angel or man

That what I seek and want can find

The beautiful black of your deep sad eyes.
