The Blessing

The Blessing

A Poem by GuardianZack

Angel in a world of glass
The time for sleep has come and passed
And with it, life, the bloody stain
Beats gently to the pouring rain.

Awake and greet the coming day
Held by time and seas of gray
If storms bring darkness, love implore
That you should crash upon my shore.

I will lift you from the sands
And treat your wounds with my own hands
Expose your heart and set me free
Into a dream that's meant to be.

A world beyond the painted skies
Paved above the crashing tides
A place untouched by pain and time
Somewhere only yours and mine.

Through all the nights I've wondered why
I'll know the truth before I die
Heaven really does exist
My angel, you are proof of this.

About
Humanity as a whole seems to be falling apart. We live in a world where people generally just don't care anymore. People always see the need for change, but never do anything about it; Change has to b.. more..
