Barefooted Dreaming

Barefooted Dreaming

A Poem by Ronda
"

In this poem, I was porrtraying that even if you are poor and are not famous, if you look at the simple things in the right way, you can be a star every night.

"

Draped in pure khaki glamour and
stardust in my moonlit hair,
my barefooted heels step onto
natures green velvet carpet
rolled out for my entrance.

Musical notes of crickets floating in the air
and the scent of lilacs filling my nose,
I smile for the cameras held by the
fireflies as I thank the world for
my award of this evening.

Sounds like summer. I liked it because of the way it reminds me of the summer nights that I love to sit outside and watch the stars.
