Kiss

Kiss

A Poem by Adam Latham

The first time that we stole a kiss
I fell in love right from the start,
For in that moment of pure bliss
Your velvet lips ensnared my heart.

The magic of your mouth on mine
And soft caresses from your hand,
Were altogether so divine,
A joy I barely could withstand.

Your sweet intoxicating scent
And fragrant aura framed your face,
That caused such feelings to ferment,
I lost myself in your embrace.

I found my heaven in your arms
And could not pull myself away,
A victim of your tender charms
To which, my love, I hope to stay.

Adam,
I think this piece is delightfully tangible, in every way a romantic poem should be for lovers of such bliss as a perfect kiss, and I am certainly one of those. : )
You gave it breath, brought the moment to life, gifted it winds to fly fly by right up off the page into our minds and hearts … you made me believe it
Smooooth ⁓ each line blends like water into air on a warm, breezy afternoon … who will not enjoy such fine penmanship.
V3 L3 caught my eye, and I wondered if you meant "foment" … just a thought.
No matter, I'm quickly becoming a fan of your enjoyably practiced and developed skills.

Thanks, Adam, for another splendid moment shared! ⁓ Richard : )

Being a big fan of rhyme & rhythm, I love your poem for its strong structure & form. You show many examples using imagery so the reader can visualize this irresistible development, as well as appealing to the other senses too. You’ve expressed the idea of being enthralled by a kiss in a convincing way & we can feel the enchantment (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
