Rising Star

Rising Star

A Poem by H. A. M.
"

I was inspired by Tenten to write this. My small tribute.

"

Rising Star

Watching you rise

I’m glad I found you.

A seedling spirit

that I had a chance to see

grow.

In all your purity.

Whoa!

The lord has truly

blessed me so.

Because of the things

that caught my eye

but never grasped my heart.

In my past

Tripped up from the start.

I need to see good things now

The light from your sun

illuminates new works of art.

Who knew …

about this flower

yet blooming?

Camouflaged by earth

 harsh words

and concrete.

Or under steel toed feet.

Who saw

potential …

in this rebellious student?

Is she

a pupil unreachable or

a schoolgirl schooling?

I don’t own stars

or the power to make them.

When it’s their time

to shine

I just appreciate them.

Rising star…

I didn’t know

who you were.

I was expecting

a myth to keep me sane

till you got here.

It is so beautiful to see someone grow. I percieved this as you viewing the process of growth and all of the stages that intails. Its is from the viewpoint of a parent, teacher, mentor or friend. A very beautiful piece. Thank you...

awe. one of the greatest things in the world is when one inspires a poet. This is truly inspired writing. Nicely done. I'm guessing Tenten is pleased.

I like it. It was a glorious tribute to the wonders of the nighttime sky. Yes, that Tenten is more than inspiration herself. Excellent piece.

Amazing tribute. I don't know who Tenten is, but the inspiration he/she brought to you is inspiring in and of itself.

I inspired something, that brings a smile to my face, but these words make me smile much more. they are honest words i feel that and maybe im just a bit biased. but i adore this piece. "I don't own stars or the power to make them When it's their time to shine I just appreciate them" those lines absorb me. beautiful.
